Job Description
Develops, designs, implements and test sub-system, component level modules or
subassemblies
for building control products. Writes development documentation including
functional specifications, design specifications and test plans while following
internal
development standards.
Executes tests on developed sub-system and component level solutions (unit
testing) performed
under the direction of higher-level engineer and reports test results to project
management.
Maintains and implements sub-system and component level designs including the
design
documentation, performed under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
Participates in reviews of internal development documentation including
functional and design
specifications, test plans and other relevant documentation.
Understands corporate product line and technologies through a basic knowledge of
product
functionality, end-user operations and internal training.
Contributes to professional development environment by adhering to development
standards.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work
experience.
Requires up to 1 year Mechanical Engineering or other related experience
Basic understanding of development and design methodologies, to implement high
quality subsystem,
component level modules and sub-assembly solutions.
Basic understanding of technical documentation (internal product specifications,
user guides,
and 3rd party technologies) required for sub-systems and component level
development.
Good interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills. Self-motivated
and able to work
in a team environment
