Mechanical Engineer - must be a motivated, degreed Mechanical Engineer with a
passion for improving manufacturing processes involving plan design and the
implementation of manufacturing, assembly and test processes and
tooling/equipment required to build transportation products. To succeed in this
role, the ideal candidate will have current experience working in a
manufacturing environment (medium to high volume assembly), 4-6 year's
demonstrated manufacturing and mechanical engineering experience to support
Operations, Supply Chain and Quality initiatives, the ability to perform up to
15% travel and proficient use of 3D CAD. Other required skills: DFM, DFA,
need/cost analysis, define tooling and equipment for manufacturing, custom vs.
buy commercial off-the-shelf equipment, identify and implement component and
product testing equipment, evaluate and implement appropriate material handling
processes and equipment to optimize efficiency of processes. Analyze and modify
layout of equipment to optimize flow throughout the plant. Work with Production
Manager to balance workload on assembly line to optimize production capacity.
Pro-E Wildfire 2, Green/Black belt, product design experience, assembly or test
fixture and tooling design and machine shop operation experience preferred.
