Product Description

This 100% Acrylic, water-based coating uses a mixture of white, black and clear beads to create a stone and sand texture. Apply 2 coats using a 3/4" lambswool/polyester nap roller cover.

WHERE TO USE 
Previously painted or primed Interior surfaces. Ideal for Bedrooms, Family Rooms, Dens and Ceilings. 

PREPARATION** 
Remove loose paint, wash off any dirt and grease with detergent, remove mildew stains with BEHR® MULTI-SURFACE CLEANER & MILDEW STAIN REMOVER NO. 62.
Rinse and allow to dry. Scuff sand glossy surfaces.
Countersink nailheads, repair imperfections and sand smooth.
Remove all dust with a damp cloth, allow to dry.
Allow new stucco, plaster and masonry to cure 30 days.
Use BEHR SANDWASH FOUNDATION NO. 765.
Have the SANDWASH FOUNDATION tinted close to the SANDWASH color you have selected.

APPLICATION 
Refer to the BEHR Faux Textures Colors & Techniques Guide and www.behr.com for additional instructions on application. Use product when the surface and air temperatures are between 50-90°F (10-32°C). DO NOT THIN. Typical coverage is 150-200 sq. ft. (14-19 m²) per gallon. 
FIRST COAT: 
Apply SANDWASH in 2 x 2' (60 x 60 cm) sections.
Begin at the top corner and use a nylon/polyester brush to paint a 2 ft. (60 cm) strip across the ceiling edge and down the corner of the wall.
Thoroughly saturate a premium quality 3/4" lambswool/polyester nap roller with product and fill in the 2 x 2' (60 x 60 cm) area that has just been cut in.
Overlap sections slightly, continuing to cut-in (where necessary) and roll 2 ft. (60 cm) sections down the wall. Keeping a wet edge will help decrease the likelihood of lap marks.
When column is complete, apply a thin coat of SANDWASH over the entire column area. Repeat this process across the entire wall. The first coat will not provide complete coverage and full effect.
SECOND COAT: 
Apply second coat repeating the first coat instructions.
If applying in high traffic or high moisture areas, use BEHR CRYSTAL CLEAR WATER-BASED POLYURETHANE NO. 780. Apply after the SANDWASH finish has cured 7 days. The topcoat will darken the tone and/or color of the finish.

DRY TIME 
Dries to touch in 2 hours at 75°F (23°C) and 50% humidity.
Allow to dry at least 4 hours between coats. Additional dry time is needed in cooler temperatures and in higher humidity.
Allow up to 7 days to dry for uniform appearance and 2 weeks before cleaning with a soft cloth and mild, non-abrasive liquid detergent.

CLEAN UP & DISPOSAL 
Wash tools with soap and water.
Properly dispose of all soiled rags and protect unused product from freezing.

USE ONLY WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION. To avoid breathing vapors and spray mist, open windows and doors or use other means to ensure fresh air entry during application and drying. If you experience eye watering, headaches or dizziness, increase fresh air. If properly used, a respirator (NIOSH approved for organic vapor with P series particulate pre-filter) may offer additional protection; obtain professional advice before using. A dust mask does not provide protection against vapors. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wash thoroughly after handling. Close container after each use. FIRST AID: If you experience difficulty in breathing, leave the area to obtain fresh air. If continued difficulty is experienced, get medical assistance immediately. In case of eye contact, flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15-20 minutes and get medical attention; for skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water. If swallowed, get medical attention immediately.
