So how does it work? Dry manifold systems eliminate problems with fuel puddling and uneven distribution that would be caused by injecting liquid fuel into a manifold not designed for this purpose. Dry manifold systems do not include a separate fuel injection nozzle. Supplemental fuel is provided by increasing the fuel system pressure. This causes the rate of supplemental fuel flow to vary with RPM. However, nitrous oxide is injected at a fixed rate determined by a jet.
